Mechanical Properties and Corrosion Behavior of Multi-Microalloying Mg Alloys Prepared by Adding AlCoCrFeNi Alloy

In this work, a series of multi-microalloying Mg alloys with high degradation rate and strength was prepared by adding AlCoCrFeNi HEA particles to the melt followed hot extrusion. The microstructure evolution mechanical properties were studied, meanwhile, corrosion evaluated immersion weight loss electrochemical tests. Results indicated that in decomposed formed Ni-rich phase, which distributed uniformly matrix. Compared pure matrix, Mg-3 alloy exhibited excellent ultimate tensile ~ 237 MPa yield 181 MPa, an increased 49.1 96.7%, respectively, without sacrificing elongation. And compressive (UCS) 31.5 43% 392 ± 3 103 2 respectively. Based on theoretical analysis, YS mainly attributed fine-grain strengthening second phase strengthening. Besides, based study behavior, it found increase particle content, composites because promotion micro-galvanic corrosion, showed maximum 25.2 mg cm−2 h−1.
